1. SCOPE & GOVERNING PRINCIPLES
These Booking (“Terms”) govern accommodation contracts and related services between MU HEN KO and the Guest.
Matters not covered here will be governed by applicable Japanese laws, regulations, and common hospitality practices.
In case of a valid special agreement made between MU HEN KO and the Guest, that agreement takes precedence over these Terms so long as it does not violate applicable law.

2. APPLICATION FOR RESERVATION
To request an accommodation contract, the Guest must provide:
a. Full name(s) of Guest(s)
b. Date(s) of stay and estimated check-in time
c. Agreed room rate and any special requests
If the Guest requests extension of stay beyond the reserved period, it will be treated as a new contract when accepted.
3. CONCLUSION & DEPOSIT
A contract is concluded once MU HEN KO accepts the Guest’s reservation request.
MU HEN KO may require a deposit in advance, up to a specified portion of the total accommodation charges.
The deposit will be applied first to accommodation charges, then to any applicable cancellation fees or repair costs, with any remainder refunded at checkout.
If the Guest fails to pay the deposit by the deadline, MU HEN KO may treat the contract as null, so long as the Guest was informed of the deadline.
4. REFUSAL OF RESERVATION
MU HEN KO reserves the right to refuse a reservation under circumstances including, but not limited to:
• The property is fully booked
• The Guest is likely to violate public order, property rules, or is under influence of illicit substances
• The Guest’s requested services go beyond reasonable scope
• Acts contrary to applicable laws or safety regulations
5. CANCELLATION BY GUEST
The Guest may cancel by notifying MU HEN KO within 48 hours of agreed check-in time.
If cancellation is for reasons attributable to the Guest (e.g. late notice), cancellation fees may apply based on the timetable established in our policy.
If the Guest does not arrive by a certain time (e.g. 18:00 local time) without prior notice, MU HEN KO may treat the contract as cancelled.
6. CANCELLATION BY MU HEN KO
MU HEN KO may terminate the contract immediately (even after check-in) if:
• The Guest breaches laws, public morals, or these Term
• The Guest causes significant disturbance or damage
• The Guest is medically unwell or poses a risk
• MU HEN KO cannot provide the accommodation due to force majeure or facility failure
7. REGISTRATION
On commencement, Guests must register with: name, address, nationality, identification (passport or ID), intended departure date/time, and any other necessary info as relevant.
Non-Japanese Guests must show valid passport and entry details.
8. ROOM OCCUPANCY HOURS
CHECK IN begins from 3:00 PM.
CHECK OUT is by 11:00 AM.
The above applies to all guest unless otherwise agreed.
Late check-out or early check-in may incur additional charges at management’s discretion.
9. HOUSE POLICIES
Guests agree to abide by HOUSE POLICIES posted within MU HEN KO, including but not limited to:
• No smoking in guest rooms or indoor facilities
• No illegal or dangerous activities
• Respect for other guests’ tranquility
• No moving of furniture without permission
Rules violations may lead to refusal of service or immediate termination.
10. PAYMENTS
Accommodation charges are payable in Japanese yen or acceptable payment methods at checkout (or as otherwise requested).
Charges apply for the full stay, regardless of whether the Guest uses all facilities or nights booked.
11. LIABILITY
MU HEN KO will only be liable for damages if caused by intentional or gross negligence in fulfilling its obligations.
MU HEN KO’s liability for loss, damage, or theft of Guest property is limited, except for items registered with management or stored in safe boxes.
12. UNAVAILABILITY
In the unlikely event that MU HEN KO be unable to honor a reservation, we will, if possible, arrange comparable accommodation nearby (with Guest consent).
If alternative cannot be secured, MU HEN KO will refund relevant charges or pay compensation per applicable cancellation policy, except when the cause is beyond our control (force majeure).
13. BAGGAGE & BELONGINGS
MU HEN KO may be able to accept baggage for safekeeping only if requested and accepted in advance.
For unclaimed items after departure, MU HEN KO will follow local lost-and-found rules under Japanese law.
14. GUEST LIABILITY
Guests are responsible for any damage or loss they or their invitees cause during the stay, and may be required to pay for repairs or replacements.
15. AMENDMENTS TO TERMS
MU HEN KO reserves the right to amend these Terms when necessary (for legal reasons, improvements, or to align with common practice).
When changes are made, we will notify Guests in advance and allow cancellation if the Guest does not accept new Terms.
16. TRANSLATION
In case of discrepancy between Japanese and non-Japanese versions of these Terms, the Japanese version shall prevail.
